Back to Edradour

About 20 years ago I wrote and produced a documentary about the Edradour whisky distillery in Perthshire, Scotland. At the time it was the smallest established (meaning it had been around for a while) distillery, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, drawn to its chocolate box buildings and size.

In June this year I headed back to the small hamlet just outside Pitlochry and this time it was to combine photography, video and text into a book celebrating 200 years of whisky production at Edradour.

The book has just gone to the printers and includes QR codes to 40 minutes of video clips and interviews, as well as new photography and updated story.

It’s been a whirlwind trying to co-ordinate everything and find time to digest all the new information that has come through, which included spending time on a video call with the Hollywood film producer, Jonathan Sanger, whose uncle once owned the distillery.

I now look forward to celebrating the anniversary and seeing the new book at a special event at Edradour Distillery in September.
